Welcome to IEEE WCCI 2014
IEEE WCCI conference is one the largest technical evente in the field of computational intelligence.
IEEE WCCI 2014 Travel Grant Information
The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (IEEE CIS) offered a limited number of travel grants to support students and researchers from developing countries who were presenting papers at IEEE CIS–sponsored conferences within IEEE WCCI 2014. The program aimed to broaden participation in computational intelligence research by enabling promising scholars with limited financial resources to attend and contribute to the Congress.
A unified online application system was used for all travel grant requests. Both IEEE CIS Student Members and IEEE CIS Graduate Student Members were eligible to apply for the IEEE CIS Outstanding Student Paper Travel Grant. Applicants from developing countries were required to hold active memberships in both IEEE and IEEE CIS at the time of application (CIS is listed as an optional society membership under IEEE). Those who were not yet members needed to complete their IEEE and IEEE CIS membership registration before submitting a travel grant application.
Historical information about previous IEEE CIS travel grants, including past awardees and funding levels, was available on the official IEEE CIS travel grants webpage for reference.
Application Procedure
Applicants were required to submit their materials through the official Grant Application System (GAS) at:
All applications had to be entered into this online system; paper or email submissions were not accepted. Only complete applications from eligible student members or members were considered for review. Applicants did not need to provide separate proof of IEEE or IEEE CIS membership, as eligibility was verified directly through IEEE membership databases.
Key Dates
- Submission of applications: March 16 – April 6, 2014
- Review of applications: April 7 – April 28, 2014
- Notification of recipients: April 29, 2014
Additional Requirements
Successful student applicants were required to present official proof of university attendance at the conference. This documentation was not a standard student ID card; detailed requirements were provided on the official travel grant webpage.
At the time of the call, exact travel grant amounts had not yet been finalized. Prospective applicants were encouraged to consult previous travel grant results on the IEEE CIS website to gain a general sense of typical funding levels.
